PBC’s summer staff are a vital part of our team. Those who decide to join us for a summer (or multiple summers!) help facilitate our award-winning Summer Bridge Program. Summer Bridge is a one-week academic enrichment opportunity for students from historically marginalized communities. Our Summer Experiential Education Facilitators (SEEFS) provide these students with an environmental and food justice themed curriculum focused on STEM, literacy, service learning, and social emotional learning as well as facilitate traditional outdoor summer experiences like hiking, swimming, climbing, canoeing, stargazing, and other adventures.

This meaningful work not only furthers our mission of serving young people by nurturing their social-emotional skills through experiential, environmental, and adventure-based programming but provides young leaders with an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our youth.

“Building such great connections with the kids made it not even feel like work. It just felt so fulfilling to know I’m making a lasting impact on their summers and hopefully their future educations.” -Mikhail

Ella Opdenberg

“PBC’s slogan is “A Place to Grow.” I observed growth in so many students within a short span of a week. I have never worked at any organization like the Princeton-Blairstown Center, not only because of the impact it has on the students we work with, but because of the impact it had on me.” - Ella

Sam Scott

“My summer students and I were both in for the education of our lives.” - Sam
